Fetty Wap has quite a situation on his hands after he was arrested by federal agents at Rolling Loud New York City last month. The New Jersey native was charged with selling heroin, fentanyl, along with other drugs and carrying firearms.
He was released on $500,000 bond entering a not guilty plea and is currently awaiting trial. If he’s convicted he will be facing life in prison. Fetty has yet to speak on his situation until now, though.
On Thursday (November 18), Fetty Wap took to his Instagram account with an update on his controversial situation. According to Wap, he’s in great spirits.
“Loyalty can be both a great trait and a deadly one… choose wisely with who you stand with but never change what you stand for Never bend Never Fold,” the rapper said in the video. “Head up like a nose bleed #ImOnBorrowedTime if it ain’t life it ain’t forever I’ll be back better wiser and smarter.”
Based on Fetty’s comments, it seems like he’ll be serving time. Even though he’s in a dire situation he has a plan in place for his return. At the time of his arrest, Fetty was in the middle of promoting his new album The Butterfly Effect which dropped October 2021.
According to reports, Fetty is being accused of running a drug ring based in Long Island, New York. This wasn’t the first time Fetty Wap had been arrested.
It happened in November 2017 when he was charged with a DUI after he was reportedly caught drag racing on a New York City highway. Two years later, Fetty was arrested in Las Vegas after allegedly assaulting three employees at a hotel-casino.
