On the heels of being arrested on July 21 in Miami, Fredo Bang has contracted COVID-19 while behind bars, according to the Miami Dade Correctional Center.
Bang had been gearing up to take the stage on July 22 at Rolling Loud Miami before he was gobbled up by police for a parole violation out of his home state of Louisiana. The Baton Rouge-bred rapper is expected to be extradited to Louisiana once he tests negative for COVID-19.

Fredo Bang — born Fredrick Givens II — was arrested alongside his Miami Lakes roommate and fellow rapper Lit Yoshi. The Def Jam Records signee and Yoshi are reportedly members of Top Boy Gorilla, which has been entrenched in a feud with NBA YoungBoy’s crew.
According to the Miami Herald, Yoshi is wanted in connection to a 2019 shooting targeting YoungBoy outside the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, which saw YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s girlfriend shot and one 43-year-old bystander killed by a stray bullet. Police are yet to charge anybody in the shooting.
Fredo Bang has kept busy on the music side in 2021. His most recent project Murder Made Me was released on August 6 while he remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
