Future teased his upcoming single “Worst Day” with a lighthearted trailer on Tuesday (February 8), clowning himself for spending so much hard-earned cash on women.
The trailer opens up with King Pluto sitting in a therapy chair as controversial dating advisor Kevin Samuels sits across from him and applauds his bravery for seeking help to combat his “addiction.”
“Now last year how much would you say you spent on women?” Samuels asks. “Probably like, around 2,3,” Future replies, to which Samuels says that $3,000 spent on women isn’t “so bad.”
“Nah, 3 million,” Future clarifies as an emotional piano plays in the background. “Every time I see a beautiful woman I have to splurge, I have to spoil ’em. I’m realizing that I have this problem right now, I need help.”
While Future doesn’t reveal a release date for “Worst Day,” the new single will serve as his first new solo material since 2020’s High Off Life, which featured appearances from NBA YoungBoy, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Durk and included the diamond-certified single “Life Is Good” featuring Drake.
The teaser also comes after Kanye West said on January 27 that Hendrix would be the executive producer on his Donda sequel, which is set to drop on February 22. Future’s involvement in the album was previously confirmed by Kanye’s latest girlfriend Julia Fox after she said the pair had been crafting “fucking insane” music.
Future also served as executive producer on Doe Boy’s latest record Oh Really, which dropped on January 26.
