Future has been enjoying his time away from the mic, but his return to the spotlight is imminent. On Monday (April 4), Future Hendrix hopped on Twitter with a message to excite fans for what’s to come.
People have been waiting for something new since Future dropped High Off Life in 2020, but he opted for a handful of features with artists such as Drake, Gunna, Lil Durk and more. With all the teasers he’s been dropping, though, Future is looking to make his official return a special one.
“Scooter said drop the album this month,” the rapper tweeted. “Major heat coming fast. Stay ready stay woke.”

The post comes a few months after the last update on his album, which arrived in January when Metro Boomin posted a picture of himself and his “Jumpman” collaborator in the studio. The hype was taken to another level sometime after when Future followed Metro’s post with a video of himself listening to an unreleased track that could pop up on the album.
The Gucci flip flop wearer had fans scrambling when he unleashed a new single titled “Worst Day,” an anti-Valentine’s Day anthem in February. The song serves as the first solo material from Future since dropping High Off Life. The official music video had Future receive some assistance realizing he has a problem spending money on women from the controversial Dr. Kevin Samuels.
As Future spoke with Samuels in a segment called “Healing Together” in the video, the rapper took fans on a trip down memory lane where he goes on multiple dates with women and splurges on them.
