Lil Eazzyy has been riding the coattails of his hit single “Onna Come Up.” The single has helped the 18-year-old gain over 15 million streams worldwide, hit Spotify’s RapCaviar, US Viral and Top 25 Chart, as well as Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 Chart. Without question, a big record like this deserves a remix, and Eazzyy is right on track with that.
On Friday (January 15), the Underrated rapper linked up with his fellow Chicago native G Herbo for the official remix to Eazzyy’s breakout hit. Both rappers go on a lyrical assault about their respective come-ups on the booming track. G Herbo’s aggressive, rapid-fire delivery complements the bass-heavy production by Hugo Black and Eazzy’s street-inspired rhymes.

Getting G Herbo for the remix is a big deal for the young rapper. During his interview with HipHopDX, Eazzyy explained how Herbo’s 2014 breakout mixtape, Welcome to Fazoland, is the reason why he began rapping in the first place. Herbo’s sound resonated with life in South Side Chicago where Eazzyy used to run around as a kid.
“It kind of made me want to just go out there and try it,” Eazzyy told HipHopDX. “I didn’t start rapping with the thought that I was going to take this shit all the way and do it 100%. I just kind of got in it to see what happens. But after my first day in the studio, my engineer was like, ‘Bro, people don’t really come in with this much experience.’ It was crazy.”
