Los Angeles, CA – It seems Ice Cube is a big fan of NASCAR. On Monday (January 17), the N.W.A legend confirmed he’ll perform at an upcoming NASCAR race on February 6.
According to a press release, the race is scheduled to take place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as part of NASCAR’s Busch Light Clash, and the 52-year-old’s performance will be broadcast live on FOX as part of that race.
“I’ve long been a fan of NASCAR from afar, and I’ve become an even bigger fan after seeing the action in person,” Cube said in a statement. “And now to perform for all of the fans at the Coliseum and for the millions watching at home, I’m excited to be part of an incredible day for NASCAR and L.A.”
Ben Kennedy, NASCAR’s senior vice president for strategy and innovation, added, “Ice Cube is more than a rapper, actor and entertainer. He’s an icon who has risen to the top in all of his endeavors. We’re honored to have him perform at this first-of-its-kind event in the heart of Los Angeles.”
It’s going to be a good day.
Can’t wait for the @icecube performance at the race break during the #BuschLightClash.

Ice Cube recently sparred with fans over comments made by his Friday co-star Faizon Love, who played “Big Worm” in the cult classic film.
“See, it wasn’t really about the money then,” Love said of making the original film in a December 2021 interview with Comedy Hype. “I got to say I’m working, pay my rent, I ain’t out in the street doing no bullshit. It wasn’t iconic when we did it.”
He added when offered a chance to reprise his role in the movie, he was offered “double-scale,” but he admitted that wasn’t enough. Instead, he accepted a role in The Replacements for $100,000.
When word got around of Love’s comments, Cube replied on Twitter and shut down any whispers of a dispute. “I didn’t rob no fuckin body,” he clarified. “The 1995 Friday movie cost $2.3 million to make. Shot in 20 days. Faizon worked 1 day, maybe 2. All the actors got paid scale to do the movie. They could’ve simple said ‘No’ but they didn’t. So miss me with that shit.”
