In honor of the 4/20 holiday, J.I.D is teaming up with premium cannabis brand Viola and streetwear designer Anwar Carrots to launch their new marijuana-themed capsule collection.
On Tuesday (April 20), the limited edition capsule collection was made available through Viola’s website and at an in-person pop-up shop. J.I.D serves as a model for the exclusive merchandise which includes long and short sleeve shirts, sweatpants, shorts, socks and accessories featuring airbrush graphics and designs.
“Anwar has always been vocal about his love for cannabis and expressed interest in collaborating with a brand – we felt that his appreciation for the plant and the culture as well as being a successful Black designer and entrepreneur was a perfect fit for Viola,” Viola CEO Al Harrington said in a statement. “We know his take on the 4/20 inspired apparel is going to be a huge hit.”

Anwar Carrots has always wanted to collaborate with a cannabis brand and he’s more than happy to have gotten the opportunity with Viola.
“I’ve always wanted to be a part of a cannabis brand so I feel like I manifested the partnership,” Anwar added to the statement. “After meeting and talking with Al it all came together organically. I’m all for teaming up so everyone can win and if they look like me then I’m with it. Al said he loved what I’m doing with Carrots and told me to treat it the same, so I am.”

Viola was founded by NBA veteran Al Harrington in 2011 during his professional basketball career but didn’t launch the company until after his retirement.
Viola and Anwar Carrots aren’t the only brands that J.I.D is aligning himself with these days. Last month, the Dreamville rapper teamed with MOD Pizza for a day of giving on March 25 where they granted wishes for fans using the #RandomActsofMODness on Twitter.
“It’s been a tough year and we know folks are struggling,” the Dreamville rapper said. “So, I’m excited to partner with MOD to spread some love in our local communities. We all need a little help from time to time, so hit us up!”
