Whether the calendar says 2021 or 2022, Kanye West is going to seemingly teleport around the globe. Even though his chart-topping Donda album is just over four months old, Yeezy is reportedly working on the album taking on his late mother’s namesake’s sequel.
According to Complex, who spoke with Victor Victor CEO and Pusha T’s manager Steven Victor, Kanye West has set his creative sights on his next LP, Donda 2.
“Ye has started working on his new masterpiece Donda 2,” Victor exclusively relayed to Complex.

Kanye West has been spotted in the studio recently as well. He locked in with rap legend Scarface to close out 2021 while the clips that emerged from the session sadly don’t have any sound.

West has been mingling with some Hip Hop heavyweights in recent days. He rang in the New Year hosting a party in Miami alongside Future and later linked up with French Montana, Quavo and Diddy.
Steven Victor has worked closely with Kanye in the past. In addition to holding an executive position with G.O.O.D. Music, Victor also served as the SVP of A&R at Universal Music Group.
While Donda 2 is sure to undergo a series of makeovers, name changes and evolve into numerous other projects throughout its roller coaster creative process, fans can expect Pusha T’s DAYTONA follow-up to arrive first in 2022 when it comes to the G.O.O.D. Music pipeline.
Donda is nominated in the Best Rap Album and Album of the Year categories at the 2022 Grammy Awards, which Billboard reports is likely to be postponed due to a rise in COVID-19 cases across the United States.
Kanye West’s 10th LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 following its August 29, 2021 release with 309,000 total album-equivalent units.
