Kanye West's New Album Arrives This Week According To Justin Laboy

Kanye West was supposed to deliver a follow-up to his 2019 studio album Jesus Is King last year, but it never came to fruition.

According to REVOLT TV personality Justin Laboy, the nearly mythical project (possibly the long awaited Donda) is finished and appears to be inching toward release. In fact, he said it’s coming “this week.”

On Sunday (July 18), Laboy hit up Twitter and revealed Kanye had played the album for him in its entirety the night before during a private listening party in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. Man listen!” he wrote. “The production is light years ahead of its time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again. Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back Face with look of triumph #Respectfully.”

Laboy also revealed Lil Baby appears on at least one song.

“This Kanye x Lil Baby record so crazy,” he wrote. “Y’all gon leave that mf on repeat ALL DAY & NIGHT. BABY REALLY A GOAT.”

He added, “LETS ARGUE. His name is @kanyewest & this new album he’s dropping this week is a classic. DONT @ ME #Respectfully.”

Laboy doubled down on a Friday (July 23) release date with, “Kanye West album is really done. When it drops this week, we probably not going to listen to anything else for a while. Let me go enjoy all the current artist I’m listening to until then. God bless #Respectfully.”

Kanye West is currently in the middle of an amicable divorce from his wife of seven years Kim Kardashian, which was reportedly a factor in the album’s delay. In March, G.O.O.D. Music affiliate CyHi The Prynce explained to VladTV, “That right there, it’s a little monkey wrench in the game. It’s all in the world now. Unfortunately, it’s sad.

“I don’t know if that’s gonna go all the way through, but I’m praying that they figure it out. But that’s kinda like the hold-off, and you know he’s working on a lot of different things, so we’re getting back to it.”
