Kevin Hart had time today. While in the midst of promoting his upcoming Netflix movie Fatherhood, the comedic legend took to Twitter on Tuesday (June 15) to clap back at all of the critics who claim “he isn’t funny” with a series of tweets.
“The He’s not funny’ slander is the best….this is for you,” he began. “I have 3 stand up comedy specials that fall in the top 10 highest grossing comedy specials of all time….2 of my specials are in the top 3 of all time. I have been the highest grossing comedian in entertainment for years now….I have also been the highest grossing comedian in the box office with over 4 billion in earnings… I have also turned my comedic talent into a place of business and branding and radio and other revenue streams….The hate/slander fuels me to do more.”

Hart came with the stats to back himself up and even used a J. Cole lyric from The Off-Season‘s “applying pressure” to quiet haters with a smaller bank account than him.
“J Cole said it best ‘If ur laughing at a millionaire the jokes on YOU,’” the entertainer wrote. “Now back to ur regularly scheduled program. Live love and laugh!!!!

“You guys are what makes this business fun….because it’s not about getting to the top….it’s about doing your best to stay on top after you get there. I rarely talk shit….but I felt the need to today. Stop believing these headlines and read the actual articles…. you guys fall for the banana in the tail pipe trick every damn time.”
Cole previously enlisted Hart to star in his “Kevin’s Heart” video off KOD in 2018. The comedian was already facing public scrutiny after admitting to cheating on the mother of his children. The visual finds Hart being shamed in public and him finally facing his mistakes.
Kevin Hart seemed to be set off by the critical reaction to his The Times interview from earlier this week, where he bragged about his talents and ripped the idea of cancel culture. Regardless, the comedian-actor used the viral Twitter rant to circle back to promoting his Fatherhood movie, which hits Netflix on Friday (June 18).
