The Hip Hop community is still in mourning following the November 2021 loss of Young Dolph. One of his closest friends in the industry was fellow Memphis native Key Glock, who looked at Dolph as the Phil Jackson to his Michael Jordan as part of the Paper Route Empire label.
On an upcoming heartbreaking track that Glock previewed on Instagram on Monday (January 17), he candidly speaks on the tragic loss of his cousin Young Dolph.
“I lost my dog, I lost my man, won’t lie, I’m really lost inside/I can get it back in blood but still, I can’t get back the time/And fuck that humble shit, let’s go, you know I’m spazzin’ out ’bout mine/I got Dolph lookin’ down on me, I know that n-gga proud.”

The song is tentatively titled “Proud” and it’s unknown if it will appear on PRE’s forthcoming Long Live Dolph compilation album, which is due out on Friday (January 21). Key Glock is expected to notch a feature on the project, regardless.
Young Dolph was shot and killed outside Makeda’s Homemade Cookies in South Memphis on November 17. Three men have since been arrested for the murder of the hometown rap superstar.
Young Dolph originally signed Key Glock to Paper Route Empire in 2017, and they teamed up to release a pair of collab projects as part of the Dum & Dummer series in 2019 and 2021.
