Los Angeles, CA – Don’t ask Kid Cudi about Kanye West. One paparazzo learned that the hard way on Sunday night (February 13) when the Lonely Stoner lunged at him for quizzing him about his recent fallout with his Kids See Ghosts collaborator.
Cudi was leaving SoFi Stadium with his girlfriend and a security guard following Super Bowl LVI when a cameraman asked him, “Cudi, any words for Kanye, man?” The Cleveland, Ohio native suddenly stepped to the pap and confronted him for bringing up what’s clearly a touchy subject.
“Hey,” an angered Cudi said as he pointed his finger at the man’s face and appeared to manhandle his camera. “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go.” The cameraman can be heard pleading “Leave me alone, man” as Cudi is pulled away by his security guard before the situation could escalate further.

Longtime friends and collaborators, Kid Cudi and Kanye West’s relationship soured this past weekend when Kanye called Cudi out on Instagram over his friendship with Kim Kardashian’s current boyfriend, Pete Davidson, who has credited Cudi’s music with saving his life.
“Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda [2] because he’s friends with you know who,” Ye wrote in a handwritten note on Saturday (February 12). “We all speak in Billie [Eilish] language now.”
Cudi clapped back by commenting, “Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u fuckin dinosaur hahaha. Everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about ur albums since I met you. Ima pray for u brother.”
He followed up with a tweet that read, “We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.”

That isn’t the first time Kid Cudi and Kanye West have butted heads. After his departure from G.O.O.D. Music in 2013, Cudi criticized Kanye for “underusing” him on Yeezus‘ “Guilt Trip,” as well as G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer compilation.
Then, in 2016, the pair exchanged words after Cudi took aim at Kanye — along with Drake — on Twitter, and Ye replied by declaring he “birthed” Cudi during a Saint Pablo Tour stop.
The duo later hugged it out on stage and rekindled their creative relationship with 2018’s Kids See Ghosts, 10 years after first joining forces on the game-changing 808s & Heartbreak. Most recently, they teamed up on “Moon” from last year’s Donda.
Despite being riled up by the Kanye West question, Kid Cudi was all smiles later Sunday night as he performed at the Cincinnati Bengals’ Super Bowl after-party.
Armed with a setlist hand-picked by Bengals star and Cudi superfan Joe Burrow, Mr. Rager attempted to mend the Bengals’ broken hearts after their 23-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams by performing fan-favorites such as “Day ‘N’ Nite” and “Marijuana.”
