Kodak Black is thankful for Donald Trump. After receiving a presidential pardon from 45 in January, Kodak saluted the former president by having “Trump Ties” inscribed into the side of one of his oversized diamond rings.
Kodak and his lawyer Bradford Cohen joined Fat Joe for a guest appearance on his quarantine Instagram Live show on Monday night (February 15). They spoke about his plans going forward, justice reform, Kodak’s love for bowling and there was even a cameo from Baltimore Ravens’ star quarterback Lamar Jackson.

When Donald Trump is brought up by Cohen around the 19-minute mark, Kodak then shows off the ring featuring “Trump Ties” on one side and the 2021 date he was officially pardoned on the other. The Florida native isn’t taking his freedom for granted and is making a concerted effort to step up in his community.

“I’m forever from the projects, so I do it for the Red Cross babies and the people that ain’t got shit,” he explained. “It’s all about doing right by others and the whole time I was always thinking about my brother LJ, Lamar Jackson, we made it out the hood. I wanted to see bruh and we gotta do a whole lot of shit for the community and we gonna be back-to-back.”

Over the weekend, Kodak launched a scholarship honoring one of the 17 victims of the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High shooting in Parkland, Florida.
The 23-year-old established a scholarship in Meadow Pollack’s name, who was one of the victims of the tragedy, for $100,000 in the criminal justice program at Southeastern University Law School.
