TALLAHASSEE, FL. – Kodak Black’s entourage was targeted in a shooting early Monday morning (April 5), according to WCTV. Tallahassee police are reportedly investigating the incident, which took place in a Florida McDonald’s parking lot and resulted in one of Kodak’s security guards being shot in the leg.
The Pompano Beach native had just performed a headlining set at Tallahassee’s Cultur3Fest on Sunday (April 4). His crew was allegedly followed by vehicles after leaving their afterparty at Baja’s Beach Club around 3 a.m. EST.
The cars attempted to cut them off on the way until they stopped at a nearby McDonald’s where the assailants returned nd opened fire from their vehicle, leaving one security guard with “serious injuries.” He was then transported to a local hospital.
Tallahassee Democrat reports Kodak Black was rushed away in a separate vehicle after picking up his order when the gunfire erupted. The security guard was reportedly shot in the “femoral artery in his leg,” which resulted in him losing a large amount of blood. The investigation remains ongoing.
Prior to the shooting, 808 Mafia producer Southside had some choice words for Kodak, appearing to reignite his feud with the Sniper Gang leader. But it’s undetermined if there’s any connection to the McDonald’s melee.
“Yak, you still a bitch,” he said. “We can bump, too. I’ll be back in Miami in a week. Pull up wherever we can bump. Don’t bring no security. Bring yo’ n-ggas, I’m gonna bring my n-ggas, we can bump.”
