Latto has continued to have some “Big Energy” in 2022. Even before she dropped off her 777 album in March, the Atlanta rapper’s hit single had already begun to slowly ascend the Billboard Hot 100. The week before her album’s release, the single sat comfortably at No. 14, but on Monday (April 4), Latto took to Twitter to celebrate that the track had notched up eight spots, and now sat at No. 3.
“Thank you God!!” Latto wrote. “Thanks jackpots thanks lambs and last but definitely not least thank you Mariah!!! keep streaming! And This was without a full tracking week! Wtf!!!!!”
She followed up her excitement in a separate tweet on Tuesday (April 5).
“The fact Big Energy debuted on the bubbling under chart and is now top 3 on hot 100 is wildddddd.”

The latest success of “Big Energy” was thanks in part to DJ Khaled and Mariah Carey hopping on a remix, which Latto dropped shortly after 777. Latto also revealed that the album itself debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200, marking her highest-charting project to date.
“Super proud of myself today gonna go celebrate! Be back later.. thank you jackpots!!!” she wrote, referring to her fans. When a fan proclaimed she was gonna hit the No. 1 spot, Latto just expressed her satisfaction at where the track currently sat.
“Im just so happy to be top 3 rn!!!! Lol but yes We can still go #1 next week lambs and jackpots don’t give up!!” she wrote.

The “Wheelie” rapper has remained an unstoppable force in recent months. Her 777 album was stacked with features from 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, Kodak Black, Lil Wayne and Childish Gambino, with the latter two appearing on the track “Sunshine,” which Latto wrote on Twitter also charted on Billboard’s Bubbling Under chart at No. 25.
“Omg I had a really good day today!!! PROUD OF ME!!!!!” she tweeted on Tuesday (April 5), before later adding some words of wisdom in regards to her critics.
“The internet will try to take ur happiness away from u and have u scared to celebrate all ur wins big or small… man I came from nothing we celebrate EVERYTHING!!!!”

Latto reaffirmed this self-love ideology in an interview with Variety, where she clarified that “Big Energy” had nothing to do with what you carried in your pants.
“It’s a cool way to bring self-love back into the community and to women, specifically,” she explained. “When you make these uplifting songs, people think it has to be corny and it doesn’t… It can be in a cool way where you don’t even realize you’re practicing self-love when you listen to this song but you are in a fun, exciting, fresh way.
“Women can have big dick energy, it has nothing to do with what’s in your pants — it’s a confidence, it’s an aura. It’s just believing in yourself and not letting anyone change your mind about yourself.”
