Kanye West tweeted Lil Baby was his “favorite” rapper while calling out the Kardashian-Jenner clan during a late-night Twitter spree earlier this week. He also claimed the 25-year-old Atlanta rapper wouldn’t collaborate with him.
But on Wednesday (July 22), Lil Baby explained there was a perfectly good reason for that — he didn’t know.
“Nobody told me ye was trying to get me on a song,” he tweeted. “that’s fucced up. @kanyewest no disrespect nobody told me.”

Whether Kanye actually attempted to reach Lil Baby for a collab remains to be seen. The seemingly troubled billionaire has been off the rails since the Fourth of July when he announced he intended to run in the 2020 presidential election.
Since then, he’s made some wild allegations regarding his famous family. In one Twitter spree, he claimed his mother-in-law Kris Jenner was a white supremacist, suggested his wife Kim Kardashian slept with Meek Mill, said he’s wanted a divorce for at least a year and revealed they were trying to get him committed to a psychiatric hospital.
In another one, he said Jenner and her longtime boyfriend Corey Gamble — who he nicknamed “Calmye” — weren’t allowed to see his children and accused Jenner of trying to put his 7-year-old daughter North in Playboy.
Just days earlier, Kanye held his first campaign rally in South Carolina, which also turned into a giant spectacle. At one point, a tearful Ye confessed he’d tried to convince Kardashian to abort North and remarked Harriet Tubman “didn’t actually free the slaves, she just had the slaves go work for other white people.”
Even though Kardashian issued a statement addressing Kanye’s bipolar disorder, some people aren’t buying his “crazy act.” Plies, for one, believes he’s only doing this to promote his forthcoming album DONDA, which is expected to arrive on Friday (July 24).
