For Space Jam: A New Legacy (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), Lil Baby and Kirk Franklin joined forces for the celebratory “We Win” track. On Wednesday (July 28), the pair unleashed the video to the church-inspired record.
Kirk Franklin opens things up sitting in front of a piano in the middle of an empty gym. The Cam Robert-directed video mixed clips of LeBron James and the Looney Tunes from the new film with shots of Franklin and Lil Baby performing the record in the middle of the gym. Several youth basketball players also joined them in the gym to display their moves while Kirk Franklin and Lil Baby took everyone to church.

The empowering record is the first collaboration between Lil Baby and Franklin. It peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart and was performed for the first time live at the 2021 BET Awards last month. “We Win” falls in line with Lil Baby’s 2020 breakout year, and he’s feeling pretty good about it.
He’s feeling so good that the Atlanta native made a bold claim about his status in Hip Hop. On “5500 Degrees” off EST Gee’s Bigger Than Life or Death, Lil Baby called himself the Lil Wayne of this current rap generation.
“I’m going too crazy, I’m the Wayne of this new generation,” he raps. “N-ggas fugazi, they can’t fuck with us no type of ways, these n-ggas too lazy/I’m cut from a different type of cloth, I don’t know who raised’ em/Every time I pop out all the women screaming, ‘Woo, baby.’”
