Lil Mama Shames Black Women For Seductive Social Media Posts: 'Shit Is Embarrassing'

Lil Mama had a few thoughts she wanted to get off her chest that may ruffle some feathers after scrolling through her social media feed on Sunday afternoon (January 23). The New York City native took to her Instagram Story to criticize Black women who she believed were oversexualizing themselves for the public’s viewing.

“It’s so many Black women bent over on social media you would think that shit was a mass mandate shit is embarrassing,” she wrote. “I get it you ‘grown’ … Everyday tho? What day are you classy? Just hanging out with the family? Actually working out?”

TheShadeRoom reposted Lil Mama’s sentiments and there wasn’t too much criticism tossed her way. Actually, most of the top comments agreed with the “Lip Gloss” rapper’s argument when it comes to women showing off too much of their bodies for social media or at least voiced there needs to be a balance.

“I think it’s 50/50!!! BUT.. she is right, no lies were told!! I’m starting to see more a$$ than class,” one person wrote.

Lil Mama also received some long-deserved closure when JAY-Z stated that he accepted her apology for crashing Hov and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” performance at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

“Of course, of course,” Jay told journalist Rob Markman regarding accepting Lil Mama’s apology. “C’mon. Don’t do that… That’s our sister. Man, we love her. I wouldn’t recommend people just jumping on other artists’ stages.

“She’s a New Yorker… She got excited. Things happen. Of course, we love her… yes, she’s forgiven. It’s all love and she was coming from a place of love it’s just… may have been a little too excited.”
