Y’all know Eminem — still the same OG people have been trying to cancel for decades. But evidently, Gen Z is just catching up to Slim Shady’s catalog and were livid when they heard him rap, “If you fucking leave again I’m strap you to this bed and set the house on fire” on his 2010 smash hit “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna.
Their attempt to “cancel” Em on TikTok spilled over to Twitter, where millennials fiercely defended the diamond-selling MC.
One particular video of a young woman rapping to “Forgot About Dre” — albeit with her own lyrics — went viral and Lil Nas X was one of thousands who pushed play. On Monday (March 8), the “Old Town Road” phenom uploaded his own TikTok video clowning the woman with his own “Forgot About Dre” freestyle.
“Generation Z wants to cancel Eminem?” he raps with an exaggerated cackle. “Generation Z wants to cancel Eminem?/Yeah, listen up, Generation Z, you’re a generation of Z/ Z, generation of Z.”

Eminem appeared to respond to the “cancelation attempt” on Friday (March 5) with a lyric video for the Music To Be Murdered By: Side B track “Tone Deaf.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry (huh?),” he begins. “What did you say? Oh, I can’t hear you/I have an ear infucktion and I cunt finger it out (out, haha)/(I need Auto-Tune).”
From there, Shady unleashes another lyrical assault that comes with 12 uses of the word “bitch,” nine fucks and at least one muthafuckin’.”
As Shady promised in the tweet announcing the “Tone Deaf” video, he “won’t stop even when [his] hair turns grey” — no matter how many times people try to “cancel” him.
