As the wait for The Pink Tape continues, Lil Uzi Vert is tiding fans over with a new EP. On Tuesday (July 12), the Philadelphia rapper announced the Red & White EP, an aptly-titled precursor to his eagerly anticipated third studio album.
“Red & White Ep …. Before The P!NK,” Uzi wrote on Instagram while unveiling the Salvador Dali-esque cover art, which depicts the spiky-haired hitmaker painting a giant canvas as his previous albums hang on the wall next to him. A release date or tracklist has yet to be announced.

Lil Uzi Vert first announced The Pink Tape in July 2021 and has teased several songs from the album, including the lead single “Demon High,” which dropped last October. The project was initially slated for a Halloween release, but has been plagued by delays.
“It’s going through its mixing process right now,” Uzi told HipHopDX last August. “Last time I dropped an album, it did really well. It was actually my highest-selling album, but it was experimental on the mixing part, not the actual music. So this time, I went experimental with the music and traditional on the mixing.”
He added, “I’m feeling really good about it. Usually, I’ll pump myself up even if I don’t feel really good, and I’ll be like ‘oh this is it.’ [I do that] just to like give myself that extra push, but this time I really kind of think this is it.”
The Pink Tape will serve as the follow-up to 2020’s Eternal Atake, which featured the hits “Baby Pluto,” “Futsal Shuffle 2020” and “That Way,” alongside collaborations with The Internet’s Syd, Chief Keef, Wheezy, TM88 and others.
The album marked a commercial peak for Lil Uzi Vert, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after notching 288,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It has since been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
