Lizzo is showing love to her mother and father for Christmas this year.
On Instagram Sunday (December 20), the multi-time Grammy Award-winner shared a video of her and her mother, Shari Johnson-Jefferson walking out to a driveway where they were met with a brand new Audi, specifically for Lizzo’s mom.
“Got my mommy a brand new Audi for Xmas,” Lizzo wrote. “I remember crying in my car when my daddy passed, no job no money nowhere to live, wishing I could one day provide for my family.. I couldnt do it for my dad so ima make sure I spoil Mama. Happy holidays y’all.”

Lizzo’s mom couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by the kind gesture, giving her daughter a hug while telling her, “Thank you.”
The 32-year-old singer referenced the death of her father, who passed away in 2009. On New Years Eve 2019, she reflected on the loss while also being thankful for her new accomplishments.
“2009 was the year my daddy died,” she wrote. “2009 was the year I lived in my car & cried myself to sleep on thanksgiving. 2019 is the year my album & song went #1. 2019 is the year I told my mama I can buy her a house. Anything can happen in a decade. Tomorrow is the beginning of ur Anything.”
