Los Angeles, CA – Embattled producer Mally Mall — real name Jamal Rashid — is reportedly in the hospital for coronavirus-related lung damage. According to legal filings obtained by The Blast, Mally was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center hospital earlier this month and diagnosed with COVID-19 with impact to his lungs.
“It is uncertain when Mr. Rashid will recover,” the filing read. “There would still be a quarantine period thereafter.”
In March, Mally was spotted handing out coronavirus survival kits to the homeless population at Skid Row in Los Angeles and it’s possible that’s how he contracted the virus. Mally also made an appearance at the Open Door Skid Row Ministry, which operates the popular sidewalk church in downtown L.A.
Mally pleaded guilty to orchestrating a Nevada prostitution ring last October, six months after his San Fernando Valley home was raided by SWAT, FBI and California Department of Fish & Wildlife.
As stated in a press release from the District of Nevada’s U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mally “admitted that he carried on an unlawful prostitution business through these escort businesses.”

Between April 2002 and September 2014, Mally “owned, operated, and managed several businesses in Clark County, Nev., that purported to offer legal escort services … He routinely used or caused others to use cell phones and other means to cause women who worked at his escort businesses to conduct acts of prostitution in Clark County.”
In January, Mally was accused of drugging and raping 26-year-old fitness and clothing model Quashay Davis.
David said she met with Mally to discuss her fitness business at his Los Angeles home in January 2019, where she was introduced her former adult film star Jayla Foxx. She claimed Mally had Foxx bring her a mixed drink made with Hennessy and she blacked out. The lawsuit states she woke up to a masseuse rubbing her body.
Mally then allegedly slapped her face in an effort to keep her conscious and reportedly said, “You’re my new bitch” and “You’re my Jayla number two.” Davis said Mally also offered her cocaine, forced her to perform oral sex on him and “roughly” penetrated her.
A rep for Mally called Davis’ claim a “blatant attempt at extortion,” adding “there is absolutely no factual basis or merit in this case.”
Mally is currently working on Blac Chyna’s album after wrapping up Teyana Taylor’s The Album.
