Atlanta, GA – 2022 has been another banner year for Mary J. Blige. After performing during the Super Bowl halftime show, filming Season 2 of Power Book III: Raising Kanan and releasing her Good Morning Beautiful album, MJB picked up another accolade to add to her decorated career resume this week.
The Yonkers native was commemorated with her own day in Atlanta through the Strength of a Woman Day — named after her 2017 album. The honor comes ahead of her Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit, which is taking place in the ATL this Mother’s Day weekend.
