Meek Mill has been overthinking his musical output during the pandemic – leading him to not release much at all. But he’s ready to change that.
In a tweet on Monday (January 18), the Philly native promised to start flooding the streets with music and stop worrying about promoting.
“I’m about to just start dropping shit no promo or nothing rap getting weak all the systems you gotta go thru to put out music,” he tweeted. “shit will have you over thinking!”

Guapdad 4000 chimed in and revealed he was feeling the same way.
“Man & I’m not even an over thinker,” he replied, prompting Meek to revisit his mixtape era.
“It kills the art and the motivation!” Meek wrote. “Me either … my mixtape era is the shit that made me meek!”

And he’s already hard at work, requesting beat packs from his producer followers just hours after the exchange.

Meek’s been working on something, though, and was out in the Bahamas reportedly filming a music video with Drake just weeks ago. It’s likely the collab is for Drizzy’s forthcoming Certified Lover Boy, however.
In November, Meek released a surprise EP named Quarantine Pack, and did so after deleting his socials – which is a similar strategy to his latest plan. The four-track effort featured assistance from Lil Durk, 42 Dugg and Vory.
