Posted by Megan Thee Stallion announced a partnership with Nike last Thursday (September 23), serving as the face (and body) of the sportswear giant’s new “Play New” campaign. In addition to starring in her own ad, the collaboration offers exclusive Nike Training Club workouts and a guided meditation exercise lead by Megan a.k.a. Thee Hot Girl Coach.
While the Nike deal represents a major feather in Megan Thee Stallion’s cap, not everybody was so enthused. One fan in particular took issue with a celebrity figure such as Megan promoting the practice of mindfulness while claiming the content of her music is “in the gutter.”
“Stop following celebrities who speak of ‘Mindfulness’ and ‘Vibes’ constantly,” the Twitter user wrote. “It’s all a facade, especially considering their own musics frequency is in the gutter. See through the Bullshit. Practice Discernment and Most importantly stop being so easily mislead!”

Never one to hold her tongue, especially when it comes to critics, Megan Thee Stallion clapped back at the aforementioned fan, calling them “fake woke” while defending the positive impact of both her mindfulness exercise and her music.
“Constantly? The message of the video is although you might be going through a hard time it won’t last long,” she responded. “Y’all so fake woke on this app it’s ridiculous. Idgaf how YOU feel abt my music it’s obviously making SOMEONE feel good abt themselves.”

Shortly after, Megan issued another tweet seemingly in response to the small chorus of criticism over her Nike collaboration while, fittingly, echoing some of the teachings behind mindfulness.
“Stop talking abt people you don’t know,” she wrote. “Stop worrying abt shit that don’t have shit to do with you … stop talking abt shit you don’t like stop talking to people you don’t want a response from… like duh.”

This isn’t the first time Megan Thee Stallion has shut down her haters lately. Earlier this month, the Houston hottie issued a scathing P.S.A. to male critics of her sexually-charged music during an interview with London’s Evening Standard.
“I feel like that’s what kind of gets under a lot of men’s skin,” she said. “Like, ‘How dare she talk about her vagina? She loves herself and she don’t need me and she’s going to take my money.’ I just feel like I make a lot of them uncomfortable and I feel like that’s my job.
“I’m not even mad at these men. They’re emotionally ignorant. Once they come to grips with who they are, maybe they’ll grow up.”
