Megan Thee Stallion is adding to her brand résumé.
The Houston rapper and Grammy Award-winner will star in an upcoming ad with Frito-Lay for Super Bowl LVI on February 13. In a teaser shared on Wednesday (January 19), Meg rolls up on an unaware security guard while enjoying a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. When the security guard has to roll through questions to confirm if Meg truly is who she says she is, the questions immediately go left.
“Any allergies, you know like cats, dogs?” the guard asks. After Meg confidently says no, the questions ramp up in weirdness. “And deer? How about a fox, bear, water buffalo? What about a sloth?”
The commercial is Frito Lay’s first in 17 years and will feature the first-ever ad featuring both Doritos and Cheetos, as well as a new flavor: Doritos Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch.
For Megan, the collaboration with Frito Lay only continues her streak of eye-popping brand deals. In November, she continued her partnership with CashApp to launch a limited collection of merchandise and in December, she announced a deal with Netflix, becoming the first rapper to have an exclusive deal with the streaming giant.
Music-wise, Thee Stallion continues to be all systems go. On Friday (January 21), she released her first collab of 2022, partnering with Jamaican dancehall star Shenseea for “Lick,” a single and video straight from the playbook of Megan’s 2020 global smash hit “WAP” with Cardi B.
The Super Bowl ad is set to air next month, part of a massive Hip Hop heavy night at Super Bowl LVI along with Dr. Dre giving SoFi Stadium a G-Funk halftime show.
