Megan Thee Stallion is attempting to manifest a role in a Bring It On reboot. In a recent interview with The Cut, the self-described Houston Hottie discussed her acting ambitions and revealed she’d love to play the part of Isis, one of the starring roles in the 2000 cheerleading film.
Originally played by Gabrielle Union, Isis was the captain of the East Compton Clovers, Rancho Carne High School Toros’ rivals. Megan thinks the role would suit her.
“I always have wanted to be Isis,” she said. “I would be perfect for that. If they were ever to make a new Bring It On, I should be that character.”
Union hasn’t exactly confirmed a Bring It On reboot is in the works but on August 25, she hinted there could be something on the horizon. On the 22nd anniversary of the film’s release, she tweeted several stills from the movie and wrote in the caption, “Hmmmm so Isis might have a teenager.”

While Megan Thee Stallion waits on that call, she’ll have to focus on her role in forthcoming Marvel’s She-Hulk film and A24’s musical comedy Fucking Identical Twins. She sees Queen Latifah and Ice Cube as the blueprint to making the transition from musical artist to Hollywood actor.
“When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music,” she said. “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer.”
Megan Thee Stallion, of course, has plenty of other plates in the air. Just last week, the Pete and Thomas Foundation announced it was joining forces with Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium for its inaugural Joy Is Our Journey Dream Bus Tour.
The free festival kicked off on August 20 and will conclude in Birmingham, Alabama on September 16 and 17 at the Black Girls Dream Conference. Catering to young Black girls and gender-fluid youth from the ages of 12 to 24, each stop on the Joy Is Our Journey Dream Bus Tour will also include interactive workshops and programs focused on mental health, wellness, arts and culture, beauty, S.T.E.M., beauty, entrepreneurship and dream-building.
“I’m really excited to have The Pete and Thomas Foundation partner with the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium on this special initiative,” Megan Thee Stallion said in a press release. “We both share the same goals – to empower our young Black women, give them the resources to succeed, and help them pursue their personal and professional dreams.”
