After a tense few weeks, NBA YoungBoy finally dropped his project Colors on Friday (January 21) and immediately followed it up with a vibrant new music video for “Bring It On.”
The visual features the “Nevada” artist donning a colorful wardrobe as he raps around his home and a local subway station with a buddy in tow.
“N-ggas say they want me, I be on it / I see a new hat, n-gga with a blue flag/Big mac, n-gga know I let go that, buss his ass,” he raps.
Both the project and music video drop come after YoungBoy spent these past few weeks stirring the pot and subliminally taking shots at NLE Choppa and Lil Durk. Tensions between the three rappers escalated further on the eve of Colors drop on Thursday (January 20), when Lil Top appeared in a pair of photos on Instagram lying down next to a massive stack of cash. The dollars had been strewn out to spell “you n-ggas gone die,” and then “stay safe.”

The nameless threat came after the Sincerely, Kentrell rapper allegedly addressed both Choppa and Durk in his songs “Know Like I Know” and “Bring The Hook.” The former track was viewed as a response to Choppa’s Monday (January 17) confrontation he had with a YoungBoy fan at the airport.
“I bet your momma would be destroyed, n-gga, when we send your stupid ass to God for makin’ statements/Choosin’ sides about my beef with them lil boys/I can say I saw it, you can say I was your favorite, n-gga/Better stay up in your place bitch, fuck around get your face split,” the 22-year-old rapped.
Later in the song YoungBoy raps, “I don’t give a fuck how you treat your body, give a fuck bout your cleaning,” seemingly a jab at the “Capo” rapper’s holistic lifestyle.
NBA YoungBoy later dissed Chicago’s “O-Block” on “Bring The Hook,” which instigated Lil Durk enough to respond on Instagram.
“Don’t claim it if you ain’t do it you still a bitch,” Durkio captioned an Instagram photo on January 13. Durk was seen in the photo flexing stacks of cash and chains and posing next to a canvas of King Von from his Welcome To O’Block photoshoot.
While it remains unclear how far this beef will go, at least YoungBoy fans get new music out of it.
