YoungBoy Never Broke Again may be currently under strict house arrest in Utah, but he’s still finding ways to bless his fanbase.
Earlier this week, the Baton Rouge Billboard-topper gifted a platinum plaque for his 2020 album Top to the mother of Kayden Evans, a nine-year-old NBA YoungBoy fan from Georgia who passed away in September.
“This here broke my heart all over again because my baby boy is not here to see it,” Kayden’s mother, Renesha Evans, posted on social media along with photos of her holding NBA YoungBoy’s RIAA plaque.
“I know he turning flips in heaven right now saying MAMA MY DREAM WAS TO MEET YOUNGBOY. If you know my baby you know he was the BIGGEST fan!!!!
“S/O to NBA YoungBoy label company for the one of his most sold album plaque in memory of Kayden. THIS ONE FOR YOU BABY BOY.”

Kayden Evans, affectionally known as “K-Man,” was buried in a casket adorned with colorful NBA YoungBoy artwork in honor of his favorite rapper, while YoungBoy’s music played at his funeral.
According to WJHG, Kayden died along with his 28-year-old stepfather, Naikel Bass, and 44-year-old Caleb Rodriguez after drowning in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Bay County, Florida on September 18.
An obituary for Bass states he lost his life “while attempting a selfless heroic act along with his stepson.”

NBA YoungBoy has no shortage of RIAA plaques, having scored four platinum albums, four gold albums and ten multi-platinum songs. He recently dethroned Drake’s Certified Lover Boy atop the Billboard 200 with his latest project, Sincerely, Kentrell.
Aside from blessing the family of the late Kayden Evans, NBA YoungBoy isn’t letting house arrest stop him from running his Never Broke Again label. On Wednesday (November 10), the 22-year-old rapper caught Quando Rondo‘s performance during a rehearsal for his label’s upcoming showcase over FaceTime.
