In addition to hosting The Masked Singer, Wild ‘N Out, a show on Power 106, The Nick Cannon Show and recording a new R&B album called Raw & B: The Elicit Tape, Nick Cannon has famously fathered eight children with five different women.
Cannon’s personal life has become internet fodder over the years, and he’s been (mostly) willing to be transparent with his fans. A recent interview with The Language of Love podcast with Dr. Laura Berman proved to be no different. During the conversation, the (sometimes) rapper/actor suggested he’s tired. The effort it takes to foster intimate relationships with women and father their children might just be too much for the 41-year-old entertainer.
“I don’t have the bandwidth for it anymore,” he said. “I feel like I do owe the women that are currently in my life, I owe them as much energy, time, and effort as I possibly [can] — especially my kids. Every time I close my eyes I see my kids.”
In a July 2021 interview with City Girls, Cannon told both JT and Yung Miami he was having all of these children “on purpose.” When asked during the podcast if the children were “unplanned,” his stance didn’t waiver.
“I’m never going to say that,” he replied. “I’m going to take full responsibility. Any woman that I know that I have unprotected sex with, there’s the potential to have a child.” He added he wouldn’t have unprotected sex with just anyone because he’s “the biggest germ freak in the world.” Cannon explained if he does get to the point where he can remove a condom, he’s already contemplating having a child with the woman.
“If I’ve gotten to that point where I say, ‘I can take off this condom,’ I’m gonna say, ‘She could be the mother of my child,’” he said. “Every woman that I have a child with, there is definitely a conversation about, ‘Wow, how amazing would this be?’ I feel like every woman I have a child with are amazing mothers, and there was a thought process going into like, ‘Man, she would be an amazing mother, she’s desired children, I can’t wait to see what type of mother she would be.’ So, I would say that they’re all planned.”

Cannon welcomed daughter Powerful Queen, his second child with Brittany Bell, in December 2020 then twins with Abby De La Rosa on June 14, 2021 and another son named Zen Cannon with model Alyssa Scott born just nine days later (who has since passed away).
He already shares 9-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon is now expecting another baby with his Wild ‘N Out coworker Bre Tiesi.
