Nicki Minaj revealed Drake could be executive producing her new album during a Twitter Q&A session on Saturday (March 5). When a fan asked if Drizzy will be featured on her upcoming project, Nicki went a step further by revealing they’ve had conversations about an even bigger role.
“We actually discussed him EP’ing this new album,” she wrote. “That was b4 Seeing Green even came out.”
Nicki Minaj linked up with Drake and Lil Wayne on “Seeing Green” for the reissue of her Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape in May 2021. In another response to a fan, she explained how her line, “All my n-ggas outside, steak, bitch we out back,” on recent single “Do We Have a Problem?” was originally written for “Seeing Green.”
“[It took a] few mins [to come up with],” she said. “What’s funny is- that was originally 1 of the many lines I had on Seeing Green. My SG verse was just way too long so I kept creating new edits & sending back & forth to Champagne Papi. Cuz he was like Wayne verse already long as well, so we gotta try to shorten the song.”

Lil Wayne signed both Nicki Minaj and Drake to his Young Money label in 2009. Over the years, they’ve collaborated numerous times on songs such as “Moment 4 Life,” “Make Me Proud,” “Only” and “Up All Night.”
Elsewhere in the Twitter Q&A, Nick Minaj revealed she’s frequently talked to Drake and Lil Wayne about going on tour as a trio, but admitted it could be difficult to organize.
“Yes, of course- that’s been discussed many times,” she said. “Really a matter of timing. Also, IDK how all 3 of us would have enough time on stage to please all of our diff fans. Those are some pretty large catalogs.”
