Polo G has King Von on his mind.
Taking to Twitter on Friday (November 27), the “Martin & Gina” rapper reflected on Von’s star power and the fact he won’t be able to achieve the success he was meant for.
“Man I hate that shit happened to Von He Was on his Way To bein a Real [star],” he wrote.

In an Instagram post just hours after Von’s death was confirmed on November 6, Polo referred to the burgeoning rapper as a legend and dubbed him the King of Drill.
“Was a real one & a good hearted nigga fasho,” he wrote with a black heart emoji. “RIP #chicagolegend #kingofdrill.”
The pair collaborated on “The Code” off Von’s new album Welcome To O’Block, and released the visual just one week before Von was shot and killed in Atlanta. In a bittersweet moment, the album would go on to earn Von his first top 5 album on the Billboard 200 when it landed at No. 5 in its second week after selling roughly 44,000 total album equivalent units.
In addition to Polo, the album also features fellow Chicago rhymers Lil Durk, Dreezy and Prince Dre, as well as Moneybagg Yo and Fivio Foreign.
