It’s been a rough time for Pooh Shiesty‘s family following the death of his brother Tarrance Henderson last month, but the 1017 Records signee is making sure he keeps a smile on his mother’s face.
On Monday (March 15), Pooh revealed he’d purchased his mom a brand new house by sharing a few clips of her reaction – and it’s truly priceless.
“I can’t believe you just did this,” his mom Gladys Baines says in between tears while hugging her son. “I can’t believe it. I can’t believe it.”
In his caption, Pooh mentioned his late brother and let him know that he was holding it down for the family.
“@tee_da_p i did it @gladysbaines love you 5L,” he wrote.

Pooh’s brother succumbed to his battle with brain cancer last month, though initial reports incorrectly stated he’d been shot. Following his passing, Drake reached out to the budding star with some words of encouragement from someone who’s dealt with a similar experience while in the limelight.
“I just want to send you my condolences, man,” Drizzy said in a voice memo. “You know? And just let you know that, like, the cycle of life is unfair… It just hits us so hard. Money can’t change that, you know? Something I just went through too with one of my friends.
“Just know that’s something everybody got to witness and I’m sure they’re all just proud of you, the most love for you in their hearts and that’s something I want you to know,” he continued. “In tough times like this, realize what you’ve been able to accomplish in this short time and what you have in front of you. I’m wishing you strength in these times, man.”
