Los Angeles, California – Billboard unveiled the nominations for their upcoming 2020 Billboard Music Awards on Tuesday (September 22) and Post Malone will be well-represented with his Hollywood’s Bleeding album. Post notched a total of 16 nominations, which leads the pack for all artists.
Post’s 16 noms fall short of Drake‘s record 22 but will find him competing in 15 different categories. Younger artists such as Lil Nas X boasts 13 nominations, while Billie Eilish and Khalid aren’t far behind with 12 of their own.
Kanye West is all over the Christian categories, which lands him a total of nine nominations thanks to Jesus Is King. DaBaby also comes through with seven nominations and even in a year where he didn’t release an album, Drake grabs 11.
Kelly Clarkson returns as host for the show, which will broadcast live on NBC on October 14 from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles starting at 8 p.m. ET. The BBMA’s were originally slated for April 29, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
