Gulf Shores, AL – Alabama’s Hangout Festival announced it’s officially returning in 2022 after being canceled two years in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Tuesday (December 7), the festival organizers confirmed some massive headliners to make up for lost time, including Post Malone, Tame Impala, Doja Cat, Halsey and Megan Thee Stallion. Other acts include Jack Harlow, Lil Yachty, Flo Milli, T-Pain, Leon Bridges and more.
The three-day festival takes place on Alabama’s Gulf Shores from May 20-22 and includes other relaxing amenities and activities scattered along the festival site. Attendees can partake in other activities such as beach volleyball, disco skating at a full-blown roller rink and more.

The announcement comes as several massive festivals gear up to make a triumphant return in the new year, and some new ones plan to make their debut as well. 50 Cent, Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, TLC and other classic rap and R&B acts are set to perform at a new festival in Mexico called Golden Sands from January 12-16, 2022.
Some festivals are even about to be underway. The Once Upon a Time In LA festival kicks off next week and includes massive headliners such as YG, Ice Cube, Wu-Tang Clan, Sn0op Dogg, and recent Verzuz contenders Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia, who have been making the rounds this week speaking on the scuffle they had at Verzuz on December 2.
Bizzy Bone — who threw a water bottle at Juicy J after accusing Three 6 of “mocking him” — took to his Instagram Story on Monday (December 6) to again speak on what transpired.
“It wasn’t a Bone vs [Three 6] verzuz, it was a Bone verzuz the entire Rap industry verzuz,” Bizzy wrote on his Instagram Stories on Monday. “They battling Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Project Pat, 8ball & MJG, Lil Flip, Young Buck, Strippers, dollar bill, and even actors; Terrence Howard.”
He wrapped up his thoughts with the hashtag #lovedtheunity and “Bizzy—hold my beer.” DJ Paul later told HipHopDX he was simply standing up for his friend Juicy J in that moment.
“I’m not going to let anyone mess with anyone on my team,” he said. “And that’s what it’s about — it’s about team.”
