Post Malone’s new album Twelve Carat Toothache is set to arrive very soon according to his manager. Dre London took to Instagram on Monday (April 11) to share a motivational video from a tennis court while revealing the rapper’s project is set to be released in May.

Twelve Carat Toothache will serve as the follow-up to Hollywood’s Bleeding, which dropped in September 2019 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with roughly 489,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week. The year before, his Beerbongs & Bentleys album also debuted at No. 1.

Post Malone spoke to Billboard in January and discussed the downside of moving to Utah as far as creativity is concerned.

“Here, there are very few distractions,” he explained. “You think about everything at the same time, and it’s fucking overload. There’s a lot riding on the music. There’s a lot riding on just being able to keep making songs. And that’s hard to do because you’re like, ‘Fuck — I already talked about everything.’ And you kind of run out of ideas, and that’s scary shit.”

He continued, “I used to love playing the guitar — I hardly play the guitar anymore. I used to love making beats. There was a switch that flipped, and it felt like I was making Stoney. I lost that, and the hardest part is getting it back. It ebbs and flows. It’s figuring out: ‘Just because I’m not inspired to do it at the moment, doesn’t mean I’m giving up.’”

Post Malone’s last single “One Right Now” featuring The Weeknd dropped in November — revisit the song below.
