Posted by Quavo and Takeoff have addressed Migos breaking up following rumors circulating earlier this year.
As they prepare to release their Only Built for Infinity Links project on Friday (October 7), the Atlanta duo stopped by REVOLT TV’s Big Facts podcast. During the conversation, they spoke about the situation with Migos and whether they’ll get back to making music together in the future.
“I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo, you know what I’m saying?” Quavo said. “Because you know, we just came from a loyal family, shit that’s supposed to stick together. And sometimes, when shit don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be.”
Takeoff added: “We don’t know all the answers, you feel me? God knows. We pray a lot, you know? Whatever ain’t right and however you supposed to see it fit, you put it back together or however you do it, we pray. So only time will tell. We always family now, that ain’t gon’ change.”
Quavo then suggested a lack of loyalty on Offset‘s part contributed to Migos having their issues.
“We gon’ stand on loyalty, you know what I mean?” he said. “We stand on real deal, real deal loyalty, and sometimes that shit ain’t displayed. This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no [Quality Control Music], nothing. This got something to do with the three brothers. And shit, it is what it is. Right now, we gon’ be the duo ’til time tell.”

Rumors around Migos breaking up began in May when Offset, along with his wife Cardi B, unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram. The move came just one day after the two members announced their collaborative single “Hotel Lobby” as Unc & Phew.
In August, DJ Khaled was asked about the trio’s situation during an interview with Zane Lowe for his GOD DID album, which features Quavo and Takeoff on the song “Party.”

“I mean those are all my brothers, all three of them are my brothers,” he said at the time. “And from their big brother, we want to see them together no matter what. Nobody says they not together, so I’m not going to be one of those guys that’s going to.”
He continued: “You asking me, I’m always going to be like, ‘Those are brothers, and it’s our job to make sure that they continue to be brothers,’ but obviously they got their thing. I don’t know, but I could tell you this, that muthafuckin’ Takeoff and Quavo on this album, called ‘Party All the Time’ … that muthafucka gon’ go!”
