Las Vegas, NV – Soulja Boy apparently isn’t scared to throw hands; just the other day he threatened to “beat the candy” out of pop star Aaron Carter’s pockets in a potential celebrity boxing match.
However, Big Draco’s latest altercation resulted in him almost fighting one of his homies without realizing it.
During a performance at Daylight Beach Club in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (August 15), the SODMG rapper’s set got momentarily sidetracked as a scuffle broke out in the front row. In a clip captured by No Jumper, Big Soulja can be seen lifting up his shorts ready to throw down with someone in the crowd.
However, a member of Soulja Boy’s SODMG team intervened and got in the rapper’s ear, talking him out of fighting. Whatever he said, it certainly appeared to be a persuasive argument as Soulja Boy quickly reconsidered his actions and carried on with his performance.

As the clip began to make the rounds online, Soulja Boy jumped in the comments section on DJ Akademiks’ Instagram page and revealed exactly what his SODMG cohort said to him. As it turns out, Soulja didn’t realize he was squaring up to a friend, not a foe.
“Bro said that’s one of our homies chill,” he wrote with three crying face emojis.

Needless to say, fans had plenty to say about Soulja Boy’s hilarious misjudgment in the comments section. “You know you have fake friends when you can’t recognize them,” one follower joked, while another wrote, “First Rapper to almost set it off on his own… legend.”
Soulja Boy can’t stop making headlines lately. On Tuesday (August 17), he announced the signing of Chet Hanks — the patois-cribbing son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson — to SODMG Records. Before that, Big Soulja sicked his wolves on a man who claimed he was buying fake jewelry at a mall.
It hasn’t all been controversial, though. The “Crank Dat” rapper also recently released a video-of-the-summer contender with a lavish visual treatment for his aptly-titled Bow Wow collaboration, “Bow Wow Vs. Soulja Boy.”
