Atlanta, GA – Two weeks after the murder of LaKevia Johnson, who shares a 14-year-old son with Young Thug, a suspect has been apprehended. According to 11 Alive, 25-year-old Joshua Fleetwood was arrested by authorities on Thursday (March 31).
Fulton County Jail is housing Fleetwood in detention before he gets in front of a judge. Police believe he was the ultimate triggerman in the shooting death of the 31-year-old Jackson following an argument at Atlanta’s Metro Fun Center bowling alley on March 17.
Fleetwood is facing multiple felonies including charges of murder, possession of a firearm during a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Atlanta police used surveillance footage combined with ballistic evidence to connect Fleetwood to the shooting and make the arrest.
“We are happy that Mr. Fleetwood is in our custody,” Atlanta Police Department’s Ralph Woolfolk told FOX5. “This was simply an escalated dispute, as depicted on video.”
Jackson reportedly was involved in an argument over a bowling ball with someone and the male assailant waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes to shoot her.

“I didn’t know that was going to be the last time I talked to my baby,” her mother, Sherina Jackson, told CBS46 of the tragedy. “I could hear her over the phone crying and screaming then her best friend said she’s not breathing!”
LaKevia Jackson and Young Thug have one son together who is 14 years old. Thugger has yet to react publicly to Jackson’s murder.
