Everyone has different sneaker practices when it comes to keeping their kicks fresh. T.I. took to Instagram on Wednesday (January 19) to showcase his collection of Nike Air Force 1’s and revealed he only wears each pair once in public before they’re thrown in the trash.
“1 wear & outta there,” he captioned the post featuring a photo of seven pairs of the crispy Nike classics.

With a net worth north of $50 million, the trap pioneer is free to do as he pleases when it comes to his sneaker habits, but not everyone was rocking with his AF1 assembly line in his comment section.
A few rappers co-signed his rotation such as E-40, Curren$y and “Range Brothers” producer Jahaan Sweet. Spitta detailed his own process how he tries to get three wears out of certain pairs of sneakers before sending them packing.
“Swear … I try to get three outta mines,” Curren$y explained. “1st wear is a day time event, club night 2nd wear… and Sunday I can lowride in a worn pair of ones they still fresh enuff to go cruisin in and if the car breakdown and we gotta get on the floor to fix shit I won’t have to worry about creasing them hoes cuz this was their last day…. all that to say I ain’t as rich as u haha one day I’ll be doin em 1 and dun tho. One day soon hahaha.”
While some didn’t agree with the Atlanta legend’s bougie ways, he did stand up for the commonfolk when taking a shot at NYC Mayor Eric Adams by telling him “vocabulary matters” regarding the mayor’s “low-skilled workers” statement.
“My low-skilled workers — my cooks, my dishwashers, my messengers, my shoe shine people, those who work at Dunkin’ Donuts,” he stated during a January 4 press conference in cringeworthy fashion. “They don’t have the academic skills to sit in a corner office. They need this.”
