T-Pain Celebrates Buying His Own Restaurant

Posted by

T-Pain has plenty of reasons to celebrate these days. He just dropped his new single “That’s Just Tips” in April, and will kickstart his Road To Wiscansin Tour on Tuesday (May 10) in San Francisco. But before he hits the road, the “Ringleader Man” added one more blessing to the list, and announced on Sunday (May 8) that he had bought his first restaurant.

“I DID IT BOIS!!!! Im officially a restaurant owner,” T-Pain wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him holding the keys. “Got my keys today and I’m scared as shit. BUT! I can no longer ignore the paths God has set for me just because I don’t understand or I’m scared.”

He continued, “I’ve learned that if I’m not afraid, that means I’m in my comfort zone, that may be what some ppl want but as comfortable as it is in there, it also gets fuggen BORING!!! In this new chapter of my life I’m taking the leap on anything I truly love and believe in. I’m fully in control and don’t have to ask for permission to believe in myself anymore. Let this be a sign to GO DO THE THING!! If you’re not afraid, you’re too comfortable.”

He followed up his announcement with another post shouting out his mom and dad, who were pictured standing in front of their first restaurant purchased in the crooner’s hometown of Tallahassee, Florida.

“My mom and dad in front of their first restaurant,” T-Pain wrote. “I grew up in this place. I know the risks. I know how stressful it is. I know the success rate.”

He continued, “Thank you everybody for your support, kind words, encouragement, and though, it may not seem like it, I also appreciate the concern BUT, pls don’t project your own fears on to me. Let me shoot my shot without you telling me why you’re afraid to shoot yours.”

As he gets ready to hit the road, T-Pain’s Road to Wiscansin Tour will hit 18 cities before celebrating the rapper’s inaugural “Wiscansin Festival” at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee on June 11. A festival lineup announcement hasn’t yet been made.
