Posted by Los Angeles, CA – Tee Grizzley is speaking out following reports of his Los Angeles mansion being robbed of over $1 million worth of jewelry and cash.
The Detroit native took to Instagram over the weekend and instead of complaining about his situation, he chose to spotlight a few things weighing heavy on his heart, including the tragic loss of his close friend PnB Rock.
“I appreciate everyone reaching out and checking on me and shit,” he began. “I’m good and my family good, thank God! I just need y’all to do one thing for me though, man, send a prayer up for PnB Rock and his kids, King Von and his kids, and all the kids that gotta grow out here without their pops. And I had to grow up without my pops because he was killed and that shit ain’t easy at all.”

He then turned his focus to his rap friends as he hopes they become more careful in choosing the energy they’re putting into music in the future.
“We gotta watch what we speaking into existence, man,” he continued. “I know we looking at it like it’s art, but these words is powerful, bro. Just like we could speak some good shit into existence, we can speak some bad shit into existence, so we gotta be real careful about what we saying when we make this music. Speak in third-person and create some characters.”
Rappers flooded Tee’s comment section with Hit-Boy, CyHi The Prynce, Symba and more applauding his words.
Tee Grizzley’s Porter Ranch home was actually robbed on the same night he was celebrating his engagement to the mother of his child, My’Eisha Agnew. The couple threw a party after getting engaged in January and fortunately, nobody was home at the time.
On the music side, the “First Day Out” rapper took his own advice and created a cinematic storytelling series with the latest installment coming with “Robbery Part 4.” The vivid street tales inspired by real-life events will eventually be packaged into a visual album.
“Robbery Part 4” boasts over two million views and became the No. 1 trending video on YouTube last week.
