Timbaland is no stranger to the NFT world and he’s partnering with TIMEPieces, the Web3 initiative from TIME. The NFT collection is set to arrive later in April and will feature an original Timbo beat interpreted by 14 different artists.
“I am excited to collaborate with TIMEPieces and so many distinct visual artists to bring more exposure to the power of creativity with music in NFTs, and to include Beatclub in the process,” the Virginia-bred beat maestro said.
“The timing couldn’t be better with our Beatclub NFT portal going live in the coming weeks for creators globally to collaborate.”

The Beatclub Collection boasts 252 pieces with a membership to Timbaland’s Beatclub marketplace and 10 different sounds for the consumer to use how they place.
“Timbaland is widely recognized for pushing music and culture forward,” said TIME President Keith Grossman. “As we embark on our first true music NFT experience at TIMEPieces, his leadership as a creator and the great work he is doing with Beatclub made him the perfect partner to pair with artists who could provide their diverse interpretations of his exclusive beat.”
The Verzuz co-founder is far from the first Hip Hop artist to get involved and make a name for himself in the lucrative NFT space. Snoop Dogg, Lil Yachty, Ice Cube, Meek Mill, Nas and more have already infiltrated the marketplace.
