Vince Staples is previewing a new collaboration with Mustard called “Magic” in a new Beats by Dre commercial. Kicking off with Mustard’s signature producer tag, the advert finds tennis star Naomi Osaka using Beats Fit Pro earbuds while showcasing new Vince Staples lyrics.
“Feeling like I’m floating to the ceiling, is it magic?” he raps. “Baby, tell me why you disappearing, is this magic?/I will never tell ’em how I get it, it was magic/Can you imagine, money in the mattress.”
Staples captioned his Instagram post, “Naomi Osaka & Beats. Vince Staples & Mustard. That’s ‘Magic.’ New music coming soon. #BeatsFitPro #RPBMH @Mustard @NaomiOsaka @BeatsbyDre.”
Earl Sweatshirt also commented, “n-gga actually go 2 crazy / nazy.”

This isn’t the first time a Beats by Dre commercial has been used to tease unreleased music in the last six months.
In August, Kanye West previewed a song with Dr. Dre called “Glory” in an advert starring track and field sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson.
The track was previewed the same month that Donda was released, but it didn’t end up appearing on the album.
Vince Staples dropped his self-titled album in July 2021, but he’s already planning to release his Ramona Park Broke My Heart LP in the near future.
“It just sounds nice,” he told W Magazine in April 2021. “I don’t think it makes sense to be too heavy-handed with certain things. Music is so subjective. So with that, it was just part of my thought process at the time: What symbolism can I throw in here that can be taken as a direct thing? What does this mean? What does this sound like? It’s all based on personal tastes.”
He added, “I don’t really listen to music much, period. I never really did, even growing up. I feel like the process itself is inspiring. Of course, you have music that plays a part in pivotal moments in your life. You can always go back and reference those.”
In January, Vince Staples hit the studio with legendary West Coast producer DJ Quik to finish the project.
