The fallout from Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival continues. While brands are looking to distance themselves from La Flame following the deadly festival, magazines are doing the same.
According to Page Six, W is looking to halt delivery on an upcoming edition of the magazine featuring a cover story with Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner.
The cover featured an extensive interview between Scott and Jenner, who are gearing up to welcome a second child together, and was printed before the November 5 festival but now W employees are rushing to shelve the issue before delivery trucks attempt to disperse magazines across the country.
“W editors have cleared any planned coverage of Travis and Kylie from their website, but the magazine was already printed, and now they are trying to stop the delivery trucks,” a source relayed to Page Six. In the light of what happened at Astroworld, the interview and cover lines seem inappropriate, to say the least.”
A 10th victim’s life was claimed last week when 9-year-old Ezra Blount passed away. Blount had been in a medically induced coma with damage to his internal organs including his lungs, kidney and heart. He was also suffering from brain swelling due to cardiac arrest.
Travis Scott released a statement sending his condolences to the victims and offered to pay for their funerals. He’s looking to be part of the solution with over 100 reported lawsuits piling up related to the festival’s disaster.
“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night,” he wrote. “My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need.”

A pregnant Kylie Jenner attended the festival with daughter Stormi and sister Kendall Jenner. She also released a statement making sure to clear up they had no knowledge of the tragedies until the next morning of the festival.
“Travis and I are broken and devastated,” she said. “My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in anyway by (Friday’s) events. And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community. I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing.
“I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted.”
