Posted by ATLANTA, GA – Waka Flocka Flame is being honored for his humanitarian efforts in the community. The Atlanta native was presented with a lifetime achievement award in his hometown on Friday (April 16) which was signed into action by Donald Trump’s administration before he left office in January.
Waka — born Juaquin James Malphurs — was honored for his work volunteering for the Chicago non-profit Daughter of Destiny. A clip was captured of his pastor Apostle Dr. Bridget Outlaw presenting a very happy Waka Flocka Flame with the award and putting the medal around his neck last week.
“I just want to thank President Trump for recognizing me,” he said. “I wanna thank Bridget and just everyone who love me with enough love back and do everything that I’ve wanted to do that was generous.”
The 34-year-old also took to Instagram on Sunday (April 18) to show off his new hardware.
“Lifetime Achievement Award I gotta thank my pastor/big sister Apostle Dr. Bridget C. Outlaw for teaching and guiding me on this journey God got us on I’m just honored S/O to my president,” he wrote.
