Hip Hop and the popular social media app TikTok have a very fruitful relationship. Artists, especially up-and-coming, use the platform to preview new songs, and if they’re lucky enough, some people may use their music as a backdrop to a new dance challenge. That’s what happened with the Griselda crew when a fan used one of their songs.
On Monday (April 19), a video surfaced online of a TikTok user busting out some choreographed dance moves to Benny The Butcher’s scene-stealing verse on Westside Gunn’s “Gods Don’t Bleed.” The fan hits the movements with precision, showing people they don’t need to incorporate only catchy Hip Hop songs into their TikTok challenges.

The video soon went viral and eventually caught the attention of Benny and Westside, who both had diverse reactions to the clip.
“I needed this,” Westside Gunn wrote with a pair of laughing and “100” emojis.

On the other hand, Benny The Butcher opted to use a flushed face emoji with his retweet of HipHopDX’s post, signaling his uncertainty towards the dance challenge. No matter how they feel, Westside and Benny will appreciate the number of looks TikTok will give them thanks to this video.
While trying to process the fact that their dark, gritty music is TikTok worthy, the Griselda crew is in the middle of promoting Conway The Machine’s latest project La Maquina. Conway’s new solo effort arrived on April 16 and has 2 Chainz, Ludacris, J.I.D and more featured on the 11-track project.
