Drake season is upon us.
With his skin tanned and a drink in hand, The Boy posted an Instagram update from the Bahamas to let his followers know he’s on a whole new energy for 2021.
“Whatever you told me in 2020 you have to tell me again,” Drizzy wrote.

Drizzy is reportedly on the island filming a music video with Meek Mill. Last month he vacationed in Turks & Caicos with French Montana as well, seemingly signifying Certified Lover Boy is locked and loaded because he’d likely be holed up in a studio otherwise.
Though there’s no exact release date for what will be his sixth studio album, Drake promised in October that the project would arrive in January – so the drop could be at any moment. In preparation, he debuted a Justin Bieber-style haircut with some bangs (yes, the bayang!) and a heart shaved into his head – which naturally got every bit of slander one would assume such a haircut would elicit.
While fans are excited about the effort, not everyone is looking forward to it. The Breakfast Club host Charlamagne Tha God doesn’t think it’s Drake’s season any longer, and he has no interest in pressing play.
“Drake has given us so much, I don’t know if he has another gear so therefore I’m not looking forward to anything,” he said on an episode of his Brilliant Idiots podcast last month. “Are we still in the Drake era? Is radio such a prehistoric form of media that it hasn’t changed the temperature to what’s actually going on out here in these streets? … I don’t think we’ve been in a Drake era for the past two-three years.”
Drizzy’s buddy Kevin Durant, who appeared in the “Laugh Now Cry Later” video, doesn’t agree. He responded to Charla’s commentary with laughing emojis.
