Kanye West is gearing up to host his third public listening party for the Donda album in Chicago on Thursday night (August 26). The highly delayed project is expected to arrive on digital streaming platforms at the magical hour of midnight EST on Friday (August 27).
But according to Akademiks, Drake — who’s allegedly “beefing” with Kanye right now — is planning on crashing the party with a release of his own. In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday (August 25), the former Everyday Struggle co-host said Young Thug, Future and Drake recently shot a video for a new single tentatively called “Too Sexy” that is expected to drop on Friday as well.
Judging by the clip, the visual looks to be mimicking old Backstreet Boys videos from the 1990s – with each artist dressed in head-to-toe white.

Drake and Kanye West’s dormant 2018 beef was supposedly revived earlier this month with the release of Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal” single. As part of Drake’s verse, he sends a shot at Kanye intended to address the alleged argument on who’s going to drop their album first.
“All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know/Forty-five, forty-four, let it go,” he spit on the song. “Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”
Kanye appeared to declare war on August 21 with a since-deleted Instagram post that read, “I live for this. I’ve been fucked with by nerd ass jock n-ggas like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you.” He also shared a screenshot of a group text conversation that shows he “added Pusha” to the thread.
Since then, Kanye exposed Drake’s Toronto address (although it’s already just a quick Google search away), and Drake shared a video of himself laughing hysterically.
Complicating matters further, Kendrick Lamar appeared to kick off his album rollout last week with the announcement his next project would be his last for Top Dawg Entertainment.
Now, fans are taking bets on who will actually drop first — Drake, Kanye West or Kendrick Lamar. Although Ye is technically supposed to pull the trigger — everyone knows how that can go.
