Mustard is celebrating another year of life and he has a lot to be grateful for.
The famed producer turned 30 on Friday (June 5), and kicked off the celebrations by sharing new photos of himself after losing 47 pounds since the top of 2020. In the caption, Mustard explained he was hesitant to post amid all of the protests and unrest but realized that was the exact reason he should be sharing.
“I’ve debated on not posting on my birthday because of all that’s going on but then i thought to myself, do you know how hard it is making it to the age of 30 as a black successful man in this world!!!?” Mustard wrote. “I do, and today i’m celebrating 30 years of life! I made a promise to myself in January before the lock down that I was gonna focus more on my health, myself, get off of social media, and ignore all the distractions that i didn’t need! Well here I am today, 30 years old and 47 pounds down!!!!”

The “Go Loko” beatmaker has maintained a lower profile as of late, bit he’s still been adding to his lengthy resume. In March, he collaborated with Wiz Khalifa on Khalifa’s new single “Bammer,” and last summer, released his third studio album Perfect Ten featuring Future, Migos, YG, Meek Mill, the late Nipsey Hussle and more.
The album also spawned the hit singles “Ballin” with Roddy Ricch and “Pure Water” with Migos. Revisit Perfect Ten below.
